Easily import your Aweber customer data to Gist.

When you switch from Aweber to Gist, you have the ability to import your ‘contacts’ from Aweber to Gist. This is done by exporting from Aweber and then uploading a simple CSV file to Gist. You can import the details of your contacts, including their name, email address, job title, company, location and more.


Step #1:

To export your contacts from Aweber, login to your Aweber account, go to ‘Manage Lists’ section and select the lists to be exported. You may have more than one list, and you should export each list separately.

You can use the name of the list as a tag in Gist, and the subscribers in that list will be attached with the same tag. Depending on how many lists a subscriber is listed in, you can add as many tags.

Go to the Subscribers tab in your Aweber dashboard, and select ‘Manage Subscribers’.

In the ‘Manage Subscribers’ screen, select the ‘Currently Subscribed’ button on the top left, to filter only those subscribers that are currently active in your list.

Step #2: 

Scroll to the bottom of the subscriber list and click on the ‘Export CSV’ button.

You’ve now exported your CSV successfully. Repeat these steps for each of the lists in your Aweber account and keep all the CSV files in one place.

Step #3:

Next, import your contacts to Gist.

Once you’ve downloaded your CSV file, you need to import that file into Gist.

This is a simple process that takes less than 2 minutes.
